Louvre 3D Linen Canvas per piece Linen is a type of textile made from flax. Flax fiber is a plant from the flax family (Linaceae). In Europe, flax cultivation for linen is concentrated in Southern Netherlands (Zeeuws-Vlaanderen), Belgium, and Northern France. The processing of flax fiber has been refined over the years. A very extensive and careful processing is essential for the best quality. As we continually seek the best flax threads for our linen, in terms of length, thickness, and color, the quality can be maintained. It remains a natural product, and therefore the color may occasionally vary from previous deliveries. Our high-quality 100% pure flax (linen) is treated and prepared in an artisanal manner. The canvas is coated with one layer of animal glue and universally prepared on an acrylic base. The natural drying process takes place in a warm, ventilated space.
