Louvre Linen Canvas per piece Linen is a textile made from flax. Flax fiber is a plant from the flax family (Linaceae). In Europe, flax cultivation for linen is concentrated in Southern Netherlands (Zeeuws-Vlaanderen), Belgium, and Northern France. The processing of flax fiber has evolved over the years. A very extensive and careful processing is essential for the best quality. Because we are constantly searching for the best flax threads for our linen, in terms of length, thickness, and color, quality can be assured. It remains a natural product, and hence, color may occasionally vary from previous deliveries. Our high-quality 100% pure flax (linen) is treated and prepared in a traditional manner. The canvas is coated with 1 layer of hide glue and universally prepared on an acrylic basis. The natural drying process takes place in a warm, ventilated space.
